Happy Bovember Everybody!
Quick recap and background for those who don't know or just
forgot. Bovember is the Month of November (what?? I know right hold in there)
in which every companionship in our mission will help one person enter the waters
of baptism! Pretty Sweet right! And there are miracles happening just left
right and center. Including (but not limited too) on Tuesday Elder Wilson and I
went into the weekly District Presidency meeting with a plan that could change
the landscape of the church in Thailand (literally) We wanted to propose a goal
for the Khonkaen District to become stake qualified by Feb 1. We had counseled
with Pres Senior and settled on that date we had a plan but then came the
tricky part is that if it was just our plan it would never work. The leaders
had to make the goal and set the plans. So we had to go at it inception style
and it worked they were all behind it and they announced the goal this Sunday it’s
going to happen! We are going to need some works but it’s all over but the
work!
So on Halloween (also known as Bovember Eve) we came home
and there was like 5 mins to 9 and I was like I have got to try trick or
treating in Thailand it’s the last time I will be here! So we went to a house
down the street and I walked up to the gate and yelled trick or treat, and
so a guy comes out and is like what do you want?
To which I responded trick or treat he goes in to get
his wife to talk to us she comes down to the gate and I’m like have you ever
heard of Halloween? well on Halloween we go trick or treating and we get candy
and she like oh yeah I saw that in a movie and I’m like well I wanted to try it
in Thailand and to my shock and awe she doesn’t kick me out but says ok I will
go get you something and goes and gets me some chocolates and so I gave her a
baptism egasan and invited to be baptized and taught her about repentance. It
worked!
Love
